Meet Pamela Cloud
An Experience Leader
Pamela G. Cloud is a lifelong educator and experienced public servant whose career has been centered on helping students, schools, and communities thrive.
She began her career in Montgomery Public Schools, serving as a teacher and administrator in elementary, middle, and high school settings. Those years gave her firsthand experience with the day-to-day realities of public education and a deep understanding of what students, teachers, and school communities need to succeed.
Pam later served for 10 years in the Alabama State Department of Education’s Federal Programs Department, where she supported schools and districts in strengthening systems, managing resources responsibly, and meeting state and federal expectations.
She also served in Monroe County Schools as Assistant Superintendent and Federal Programs Director, bringing district-level leadership to planning, accountability, and school improvement efforts.
After retirement, Pam returned to Montgomery Public Schools as a UAB GEAR UP Alabama Site Director, continuing her commitment to helping students prepare for college and career opportunities.
In November 2022, she was elected to serve as the Montgomery Public Schools Board Member for District 5. In this role, she continues to lead with experience, integrity, and a clear belief that every child deserves access to strong schools and real opportunity.
